Matthew 18:2-4
Matthew 18:2-4
Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Anyone who has raised children or spent much time with them wouldn’t exactly describe them as humble. Children see themselves as the center of the universe, often demanding their own way. So when Jesus calls us to be as humble as little children, he is calling us to childlike trust and dependence. Young children naturally believe whatever their caregivers say and trust them to take care of their needs. God desires the same for you. How might he be calling you to come to him as a child today?
