Matthew 18:21-22

Matthew 18:21-22

Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!”

Jesus taught his disciples about the generous forgiveness he desires from his followers. He calls us to forgive others seventy times seven; in other words, so often that we cannot keep track. True forgiveness means forgiving over and over again. If you are struggling to forgive someone today, remind yourself of the many times God has graciously forgiven you. How can you show the same kind of love and grace to this person who has wronged you?
