Matthew 28:5-7

The angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead.”

The Bible is more than just a compilation of books to help us know God better; it’s one overarching beautiful story that reveals God’s plan to redeem his creation. And the entire story has led up to this incredible moment, when the angel announced, “He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.” Ponder this pivotal time in history when Jesus displayed his power over death and confirmed he truly is the Son of God.
