Philippians 4:12-13

I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Paul had seen it all. He had eaten at great feasts but had also almost starved to death. He had been treated with great respect as well as beaten to the edge of death. Along the way he found the secret to being content no matter what his circumstances were. He saw each occasion as a divine opportunity to rely on Christ’s power to help him and to talk about his Lord in hopes of bringing others to faith. In this way he could enter any situation with the anticipation that God would work good through it. How might your day be different if you approach every event in this same way?
