Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

A theme throughout Proverbs is that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Fearing God involves knowing who he is and who we are in relation to him. He is our Creator and we are his creation; therefore he knows what is best for our lives. Most everyone can relate to the uneasy feeling of releasing control to something or someone other than ourselves. Yet God promises that when we forfeit our own agendas and believe he will help us with the challenges and unknowns of daily life, he will show us the right direction to take.
