Living Intentionally
Living Intentionally
FATHER GOD, reveal to me
the props I use to disguise my true self;
how to receive your gift of self-confidence in order that I might be more open, responsive, and relaxed so I can be the authentic witness you have called me to be;
when the time has come for me to throw in the towel in order to better live by my priorities;
when I need to allow others to help me face the headwinds of life;
a quality mentor who can teach me and challenge me to live with excellence;
steps I can take to fortify my courage in order to persist—even when I keep falling down;
when I whine too long and too often;
wisdom brought through my confusion;
those areas where I am serving from my head rather than my heart;
kind and truthful ways to say no;
new ways to spend my talents and contacts today.
Actions I will take:
Example: I will kindly and respectfully decline to serve on the PTA board by saying, “Thank you for asking, but I must decline at this time.”
Father, open our hearts and minds with your light; open our eyes to the rich life you have abundantly given us. Help us, O Lord, to live each day for you, intentionally. Amen.
