Where do I get the courage to deal with life’s obstacles?

God’s Response

The LORD your God . . . is with you! Deuteronomy 20:1

The LORD is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Be strong and very courageous. Obey all the laws Moses gave you. Do not turn away from them, and you will be successful in everything you do. Joshua 1:7

The more convinced you are that you can overcome an obstacle, the more boldly you will attack it. If you are convinced that God will help you overcome your obstacles, then you will be even more courageous in moving ahead. This conviction that God will help comes mostly from reading and studying God’s Word, where you discover his desire and power to accomplish great things through you.
