Regrets
Regrets
How can I deal with regrets?
God’s Response
Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. . . . Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt. Psalm 51:7, 9
Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. The shame of your youth and the sorrows of widowhood will be remembered no more. Isaiah 54:4
Oh, what joy for those whose rebellion is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Psalm 32:1
Regrets from the past can negatively affect every day of your life. Regret is often a sign that you cannot forgive yourself, or that you feel that you do not deserve forgiveness. However, in God’s eyes, you are already forgiven; you just need to ask. He will help you forgive yourself and others and receive his forgiveness. Allow his forgiveness to bless you and free you from the guilt of regret.
God’s Challenge
No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. Philippians 3:13
