Rescuer
Rescuer
Will God rescue me even when my troubles are my own fault?
God’s Response
Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand where you are and watch the LORD rescue you. The Egyptians that you see today will never be seen again.” Exodus 14:13
You will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the LORD’s victory. 2 Chronicles 20:17
Stand here and see the great thing the LORD is about to do. 1 Samuel 12:16
God often allows the consequences of sin to take their course, even for believers, because he cares about them. God uses those consequences to remind you of the danger of sin, to encourage you to work hard to avoid it, and to prepare you to face other troubles in the future. He cares for you so deeply that he will use even your self-made troubles to discipline you. For any of these tough circumstances there is reason to praise God: He redeems our mistakes, he teaches us wisdom through adversity, and he promises to help us through tough times. A God who redeems all trouble is a God worthy of praise.
God’s Promise
He rescues me and keeps me safe from the battle waged against me, even though many still oppose me. Psalm 55:18
