Shield

Shield

Sometimes it feels like I’m under attack. How does God defend me?

God’s Response

In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. Ephesians 6:16

The Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 1 John 4:4

Every child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory. 1 John 5:4

Your first line of defense is to draw strength from the fact that God is more powerful than your problems or your enemies. Your faith in God is a shield that protects you from the temptations and criticisms hurled at you every day. Without strong faith, the weapons of Satan and the arrows shot at you by your enemies would pierce and defeat you. So even when life seems overwhelming, hold tightly to your faith like a shield and you will withstand the dangers and discouragements sent at you. And rejoice—you know that God has already won the victory.

God’s Promise

The LORD protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and then he saved me. Psalm 116:6
