Trouble
Trouble
How can I deal with stress so that it has a positive effect in my life?
God’s Response
Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. James 1:2-4
If you fail under pressure, your strength is not very great. Proverbs 24:10
Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalm 55:22
Stress puts great pressure on your health and relationships. It is a warning sign that you are being stretched to your limit, and that beyond that limit you will snap. But stress can be positive if you learn and grow from it. Just as a muscle can only grow under pressure, so your wisdom and character can only grow under the pressures of life. As you look for what God is teaching you in your stressful times, you will become better equipped to deal with other stressful situations.
God’s Promise
I will call to you whenever trouble strikes, and you will answer me. Psalm 86:7
