Answered Prayer
Answered Prayer
Does God always answer prayer?
God’s Response
I love the LORD because he hears and answers my prayers. Psalm 116:1
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, . . . “My power works best in your weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-9
If you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted! John 15:7
God listens carefully to every prayer and answers it. His answer may be yes, no, or wait, not now. Doesn’t any loving parent give all three of these responses to a child? Answering yes to every request would spoil you and be dangerous to your well-being. Answering no to every request would be vindictive, stingy, and kill our spirit. Answering wait to every prayer would be frustrating. God always answers, but he gives his answers based on what he knows is best for you. When you don’t get the answer you want, your spiritual maturity will grow as you seek to understand why God’s answer is in your best interest.
God’s Promise
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. 1 Peter 3:12
