How can I know that God hears my prayers?

God’s Response

When they pray . . . hear from heaven . . . and grant what they ask of you. In this way, all the people of the earth will come to know and fear you. 2 Chronicles 6:32-33

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous. Proverbs 15:29

Sometimes it seems that our prayers are bouncing off the ceiling. Is God not paying attention? The bigger question is, are you paying attention to God’s answer? God does answer prayer, and he wants to do so because he is loving and good. It is his nature to give good things to his people. Sometimes, after things work out, we fail to give God the credit. When you pray, be alert and watch for God’s answer, and then don’t forget to thank him for it!

God’s Promise

If we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for. 1 John 5:15
