Building Others Up

Building Others Up

How can I build others up and offer encouragement?

God’s Response

Judge fairly and honestly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. Zechariah 7:9

All of you should be of one mind, full of sympathy toward each other, loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds. 1 Peter 3:8

Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Ephesians 4:2

You build others up by finding what is good in them and complimenting them. Don’t flatter people just to make them feel good; that isn’t honest. But a small word of honest encouragement can often make someone’s day. If you have a reputation for integrity, others will know that your words are true.

God’s Promise

Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Rejoice. Change your ways. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11
