How can I develop perseverance through my circumstances?

I think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and completely overwhelmed, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we learned not to rely on ourselves, but on God who can raise the dead. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9

We also pray that you will be strengthened with his glorious power so that you will have all the patience and endurance you need. May you be filled with joy. Colossians 1:11

I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. Philippians 1:6

The key to perseverance is having a clear view of heaven as your destination. When you see clearly where you are going, it is easier to endure the hardships along the road. God promises to help you. His persistent and faithful work in your life gives you the supernatural power to keep going when you encounter difficulties.
