Wisdom

How does the Bible define wisdom?

God’s Response

Reverence for the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. The rewards of wisdom come to all who obey him. Psalm 111:10

Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2

A wise person is hungry for truth, while the fool feeds on trash. Proverbs 15:14

If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. Proverbs 15:31

The Bible states that reverence for God is the foundation of true wisdom. If you revere and honor God, you will become humble, teachable, and hungry for truth. Reading God’s Word will show you how to live. Immersing yourself in the truth of God will make you wise.

God’s Promise

Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life. If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer. Proverbs 9:11-12
