Change Your Future For Good

Change Your Future For Good

“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Today’s verse is one of the most comforting, life-giving, and truth-telling in the Bible. It gives you so much hope for your tomorrows—and courage for dealing with your yesterdays.

When you choose to deal with the wounds and the pain of past rejection, hurt, betrayal, offenses, abandonment, abuse, mistakes, regret, and failures, you take away the power they wield in your heart, your mind, and your life. You acknowledge God’s good and hopeful plans for your future. Free of the blame game, you can bravely embrace the pain of the recovery process so you can move on.

So when you find yourself thinking about, talking about, and listening to conversations about a negative “back there,” instead remember God’s promises and change your thoughts and words. Speak about all the good things that God has for you today and in your future. After all, His plans for you are for good and not for evil; they are plans to prosper you, not to harm you.

You cannot change the past, but as you deal with it and move on with God’s help, you can change the future.

Lord, I accept Your good promises for me. Thank You for giving me the bravery to accept healing and to walk into the future You have for me.
