Strengthened And Empowered

I pray that out of his glorious riches [the Father] may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

Ephesians 3:16–17

God is transforming you into the image of Christ. He’s making you more Christlike. He’s even more committed to the process than you are—and that’s okay. All God wants you to do is to keep showing up. To be ready and willing for Him to use you in the world.

When Christ dwells in you, you are taken out of yourself and beyond your very real limitations. When asked to give of yourself to others, you may think, I don’t have enough to give, I don’t know what to do, or I’m not qualified for this. That may be true for you, but definitely not for God. All you need to do is just show up and be faithful. And as you follow His lead, you’ll be transformed, and you’ll witness His unstoppable power.

He will continue to make you more like Jesus as He expands your impact on your world. Embrace this mystery of Christ in you, and you’ll find yourself choosing to love the lost, the hurting, and the forgotten with your words and actions. You’ll find yourself being used by God to transform the world around you.

God, help me “to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (v. 18). Thank You for empowering me!
