“As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.”

John 17:18–19

You have so much to offer to people who don’t know Jesus: your salvation story, your friendship, your service. Yet for those of us who have been involved in church for a long time, it’s easy to get so involved with Christian friends and activities that we let go of relationships with unsaved people.

God wants us to consciously choose to stay connected to people who don’t go to church. He wants us to influence people with whom we have no present relationship. He wants us to share the gospel with the lost in our sphere of influence.

Yes, He will always want us to be fully engaged in Christian community, but remember that church is the place where you go to be trained and strengthened to do what God has called His people to do: scatter the seed of His gospel.

Where do you spend time with people who do not know the Lord and need to hear about Him? Wherever it is that you can scatter! At your kids’ school events, the gym, your workplace, your community. Wherever you go—go scattering seed!

Thank You for the mission fields You have given me, Lord. Help me build relationships, listen carefully in conversations, and love with Your love so I can share Your gospel.
