Who You Were Meant To Be

Who You Were Meant to Be

You are nothing.

Sure, you’re smart. You’re an expert in your field. You’re wise enough to see problems and avoid them. You have the vision to accomplish great things. You give a lot to charity, and you sacrifice for what you believe in.

But you also don’t have much patience for people. You’re not terribly kind. You’re always tooting your own horn. You step on too many toes and have a short temper. You keep a list of people who’ve betrayed you.

No matter what you’ve accomplished, if you are not a person of relationship, if you are not a person of love, then who you are doesn’t really matter.

Life is relationship. And love is the heart that gives relationship its life. God Himself is love. He doesn’t just love; love is part of His very identity. When you love others with His love, then you are something. It becomes part of you too.

Become who you were meant to be.

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” —John 13:35 NKJV
