Beautiful Word Devotional #148

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26

The psalmist had intimate knowledge of two things: he would fail, but God would be there. These are two powerful truths.

You may find yourself in a place of failing health. What you used to be able to do, you can no longer do. Whatever your situation, God will be your strength.

You may be discouraged in your current circumstances. Perhaps you are dealing with financial matters or the pressure of difficult decisions. Look again at today’s verse and remember that God promised to be your portion: he will prove sufficient for you as he guides, protects, and provides.

No matter where you are today, remember this: God has your heart. He sees your life. He longs to give you hope and peace. Simply ask Him. And wholeheartedly seek Him. Trust that he will supply every ounce of strength you need to face whatever obstacles stand in your way.

Lord, I need to live with as my strength and my portion today. I believe you will provide; help my unbelief, amen.
