If someone dies, will they live again?

Job 14:14

In the Old Testament, this was a legitimate question. When Jesus walked the earth, he ushered in the age of resurrection when he raised several people from the dead, including his good friend Lazarus.

And then Jesus himself was resurrected. The good news for you today is that because of Jesus’ death on the cross and subsequent resurrection, you have hope that death is not the end.

What an amazing hope! And it’s especially amazing for people like Job who desperately needed hope. The resurrection plays no favorites: eternal life with Christ after we die physically is possible because of the sacrifice of Jesus, and all are welcome to receive this gift.

Spend some time making a list of people you know who need to hear this beautiful invitation to life with Jesus. Pray for them. Then ask God to give you the opportunity as well as the courage to share this good news.

Lord, show me whom to talk with about the resurrection—and then give me, I pray, not only the opportunity but also bold and effective words, amen.
