Matthew 6:20-21
Matthew 6:20-21
Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
The Bible refers to the center of thought and feeling as the “heart.” Every action we take, emotion we feel, and word we speak flows from the heart. It’s important to be aware of what our hearts truly treasure so that we can focus our time, attention, and energy on those things. How might God be calling you to store up treasure in heaven? Perhaps he wants you to give more generously, become involved in a local ministry, or invest in loving a specific group of people. Take time to think through what your heart really desires and ask God for a truly heavenly mind-set.
