Matthew 6:25-26

Matthew 6:25-26

That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?

Worry is a natural part of life, but too much can distract and paralyze you. Worry becomes sinful when it prevents you from thinking about anything else, including God. The Bible teaches that we find rest from worry when we admit that we can’t control the future and instead choose to entrust ourselves—and our loved ones—to the God who does. As you release your concerns to him, you’ll find your troubles getting smaller and smaller, and you’ll find yourself overjoyed rather than overwhelmed.
