God’s Judgment

God’s Judgment

Should I be afraid of facing God’s judgment?

God’s Response

He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. Psalm 9:8

There is going to come a time of testing at the judgment day to see what kind of work each builder has done. Everyone’s work will be put through the fire to see whether or not it keeps its value. . . . The builders themselves will be saved, but like someone escaping through a wall of flames. 1 Corinthians 3:13, 15

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter—no one who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Revelation 21:27

The final event of history is a twofold judgment. First, God will judge all people who have ever lived to determine whether they should enter heaven or hell—based solely on their allegiance to and faith in God. This is the judgment to fear if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and asked him to forgive your sins. Second, God will judge the deeds of all who enter heaven and give rewards accordingly. This second judgment does not determine whether or not you get into heaven, but what rewards you receive when you get there. How do you think you will be judged?

God’s Promise

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
