Value
Value
Am I really that important to God?
God’s Response
God said, “Let us make people in our image, to be like ourselves.” Genesis 1:26
You should not be like cowering, fearful slaves. You should behave instead like God’s very own children, adopted into his family —calling him “Father, dear Father.” For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we will share his treasures —for everything God gives to his Son, Christ, is ours, too. Romans 8:15-17
You may be tempted to measure your value on the basis of your performance or other external measurements, but your worth is rooted in the fact that you are created in God’s image and loved as God’s child. He loved you enough to die for you. That’s how important you are to him!
God’s Promise
Not even a sparrow, worth only half a penny, can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. . . . You are more valuable to him than a whole flock of sparrows. Matthew 10:29, 31
